Objective of the mission :
MISSION
Purpose :
Main objective: Support on design and writing FSL assessment and proposal
The proposed mission aims to support the SI South Sudan mission in the design and the writing of the DFID proposal, in close collaboration with the HQ – desk and DOAP.
The listed objectives can be adjusted according to the starting date of the support and the publication of the call:
Specific objectives:
A. To collect all the relevant information regarding the context in Raja which are existing at SI level: needs assessments, recent movements, social dynamic, livelihood resources, nutrition and food security status, availability and status of WASH facilities, potentiality of the markets for value chain support or access to job opportunities, etc. (previous proposals and reports, current proposals, assessment reports)
B. To complete this existing data by conducting additional field assessments, interviews with the key informants, by using the common tools adopted by the consortium (or the SI ones), in link with the Field team in Raja
C. To update the map of the actors intervening in Raja County and propose possible synergies
D. To identify the potential partners for the DFID project among the NNGO, the social society, the community groups and organizations, etc.
E. To propose a scope of interventions, activities design, sizing of the project, risk analysis, locations
F. To ensure the technical and programmatic discussions with the members of the consortium, to attend to the workshop sessions and feed the thinking
G. To contribute to the writing of the proposal (led by IRC).
Deliverables :
The deliverables will be adapted according to the timeline of this support mission.
Writing of an internal report in English including:
o 1 executive summary (3-4 pages max)
o 1 summary of the methodology and the steps of the mission (1 page)
o 1 comprehensive report with the findings, the analysis of different scenario, the recommendations, the technical input (max 20-25 pages)
o 1 table with the scope of intervention and activities for the DFID project (with the work plan and budget for the activities).
o All technical appendices: containing the technical details of the evaluation, models for questionnaires (based on the existing tools), check list and canvasing interviews, tables or charts, references and other sources, people and organizations contacted, etc.
Co-writing of the proposal and the annexes to submit to DFID in English including:
o The narrative part
o The technical annexes
o The logical framework of logic of intervention
o The BOQs
o The work plan
o SI organization chart/organogram for the intervention

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL will recruit the consultant for a period of 1 month from the 16th Sept. 2019 until 15th Oct. 2019 and will work under the direct supervision of the Country Director of South Sudan mission.
