General Copywriter

Profile Summary:

A versatile copywriter capable of producing a wide range of content including reports, case stories, and video scripts. They will be responsible for creating engaging, emotive, and faith-sensitive content for various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

– Write and edit short, data-driven weekly progress reports for emergency programmes and longer monthly/yearly impact reports.

– Create content for volunteer handbooks, donor reports, and other organisational documents.

– Produce short case stories (under 150 words) and video scripts (under 3 minutes) by analysing large volumes of raw content and data.

– Ensure all content is respectful, faith-sensitive, and aligns with the wider objectives of raising awareness, engagement, fundraising, and sponsorship.

– Collaborate with regional teams and field agents to gather necessary data and verify information.

– Stay updated with current events to produce reactive content quickly and efficiently.

Skills and Experience:

– Proven experience in copywriting, preferably in a humanitarian or non-profit organisation.

– Ability to write both short and long-form content.

– Strong research and data analysis skills.

– Experience with emotive and faith-sensitive writing.

– Familiarity with video script writing and an understanding of video editing.

– Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

– Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages like Arabic are desirable.

 

Data-Driven Copywriter

Profile Summary:

A detail-oriented copywriter with a strong focus on data collation, research, and producing content based on complex data sets. This role involves creating precise, informative reports and case stories that are both engaging and data-driven.

Key Responsibilities:

– Collate and analyse data from regional teams and field agents to create concise weekly progress reports and detailed monthly/yearly impact reports.

– Produce donor reports and content updates with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.

– Write short case stories and scripts for videos that effectively use data to tell compelling stories.

– Ensure all content meets the organization’s faith-sensitive and emotive standards.

– Develop processes to streamline data collection and ensure timely verification of information.

– Respond quickly to current events with data-backed content.

Skills and Experience:

– Strong background in data analysis and research.

– Experience in producing data-driven content.

– Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex data.

– Familiarity with humanitarian or non-profit sectors is a plus.

– Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

– Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages like Arabic are desirable.

Video Script and Case Story Copywriter

Profile Summary:

A creative copywriter with a focus on producing short-form content for video scripts and case stories. This role requires an understanding of video production and the ability to craft engaging narratives for various media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

– Write scripts for short videos (under 2-3 minutes), ensuring they are emotive, engaging, and align with the organisation’s faith-sensitive standards.

– Produce short case stories (under 150 words) for written and video formats, based on thorough analysis of raw content and data.

– Collaborate with the video production team to ensure scripts work well with motion graphics, b-roll, and other visual elements.

– Stay informed about current events to create timely and relevant video content.

– Maintain a consistent tone and style across all video and case story content.

Skills and Experience:

– Proven experience in scriptwriting for video content.

– Strong storytelling skills with the ability to create emotive and engaging narratives.
