One of RAFT’s innovation projects UnPAC (understanding prioritisations, allocations, calculations, and implementation for malaria control programmes, a qualitative study) is conducting research to describe the allocation of malaria commodities (in particular insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) from national-level Global Fund grant planning, through to delivery within communities to understand key decision-making factors, commonalities, differences, barriers, and enablers at each level, in the African context.
The primary role of the consultant is to act as the country focal point for Côte d’Ivoire and support the Malaria Consortium lead researchers to conduct i) interviews with key informants at the national level (e.g. Côte d’Ivoire’s National Malaria Control Programme [NMCP]); and ii) focus group discussions at the sub-national level (e.g. regional, district, health area/delivery point).
