Tearfund is a Christian charity which partners with churches in more than 50 of the world’s poorest countries. We tackle poverty and injustice through sustainable development, by responding to disasters and challenging injustice.
Tearfund is seeking to enter into an agreement for Marketing Services targeted towards increasing brand awareness and recruiting new donors. We are looking for an agency partner (or partners) that can help us maximise the impact of our efforts by identifying untapped opportunities and bringing fresh, expert insights to our marketing strategy. Your expertise will be key to refining our approach, enhancing our performance, and ensuring we achieve meaningful results. Tearfund cannot guarantee any minimum spend that might take place during the course of the agreement but the estimated total annual spend is referenced below.
The tender will be split into 2 lots. Agencies can bid for one or both lots. Tearfund would ideally look to work with one agency who covers both lots but would be open to having one agency covering each lot if that created the strongest partnership team. The two lots are broken down as follows:
LOT 1 Brand Awareness
- Integrated Messaging Development – Work with the foundations of the Tearfund brand identity and Transforming Communities narrative to develop distinctive and urgent messaging that is used consistently across all cold channels and opportunities to attract new support. This will require close and collaborative working with the Tearfund fundraising and communications team, and with other Tearfund suppliers (e.g. media agency).
- Brand Awareness – To review current brand metrics and support the development of our strategy to increase Tearfund brand awareness, understanding, consideration and engagement among priority active Christian prospective donor audiences. This will closely align with the development of the new donor acquisition strategy.
LOT 2 Acquisition
- Acquisition – To review past performance, develop a strong understanding of Tearfund’s target audience and advise on the acquisition strategy to recruit new donors for the period Apr 2025 to Mar 2026.
- Marketing Services – creative services / new product development – as required, deliver outstanding creative for donor acquisition channels or products, collaborating closely with the Tearfund in-house marketing and creative teams.
