The IAPG endorses the following supplier code of conduct for use in the procurements activities of all civil society organisations. It covers the following supplier standards:
- Labour
- Human Rights
- Environment
- Ethical Conduct & Legal Standards
- Safeguarding
- Community Impact
It is derived from Save the Children International’s Supplier Sustainability Policy and the UN Global Compact. The Global Compact is a voluntary citizenship community that sets the universal social and environmental principles, to meet the challenges of globalisation (a key foundation for the Compact is the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights). The agency encourages all suppliers to participate in the Compact.
This code is recommended to be included as part of sourcing / tender documentation issued to current and prospective suppliers during each competitive sourcing procedure and to be integrated into contractual terms.
Disclaimer
Individual suppliers entering into procurement and contracting processes with any buying organisation using these code of conducts agree to their customer, organisation-specific terms and conditions, which supersede these IAPG-endorsed codes of conduct. IAPG is not liable for their content or any customisations.
